Wonder, wonder, wonder. One of the most powerful activities of mind. I just finished watching the National Geographic Genius series on Albert Einstein. Powerful stuff. With all the adversity and blocks and challenges he faced the one thing that never changed was his insatiable curiosity, his need and dedication to asking questions, to wonder about things like how the universe works and so much more.
It reminded me also of the work of Gay and Kathlyn Hendricks. Wonder questions are very much a foundation of their work and I have learned to wonder so much more in my life.
On reflection I can see how the lack of wonder and asking questions in the earlier part of my life really limited me in so many ways. I was (and can still be) too quick to decide, to come to conclusions about things when I am much better served by wondering and staying open. In my daily journaling I often start with wondering about something and then meandering through all kinds of ideas that really help me expand and extend my awareness to ideas I would not normally have considered.
Wonder is a fabulous tool, and I am grateful to all the Einsteins and the Hendricks of the world for being such great examples and opening my mind and heart to it.
One of my favourite wonder questions these days is ‘I wonder how I can serve Love today?’ Endless inquiry…
