Drop in 1 to 2:30 through the month of September (4th, 11, 18th, 25th)
Outdoors in Queen Mary Park (across the street from Unity, 11715 – 108 Ave NW, Edmonton)
Or indoors at Unity of Edmonton in case of inclement weather. (Be sure to bring your lawn chairs on those nice days)
These drop in gatherings will include guided meditation, perhaps some contemplative practices and mostly conversation about what we are learning from our lived experience and/or how we are being impacted by books we are reading along this spiritual journey.

This is an opportunity to learn more about what Spiritual Direction is and is not.
There will be a brief lecture and a question and answer period as well as a contemplative practice experience.

No charge, no obligation, just information.

This is not a problem-based model but rather one of deepening our relationship with our own True/Divine Self where challenges are seen as steppingstones and the direction is always to the true Director, the Divine in you.
Sessions are via Zoom or in person in St. Albert and payment is by love offering.

Do you have a broken heart after a recent loss, from something that happened long ago or due to an accumulation of a lifetime of losses?

Good and bad times are a part of life and it is normal to grieve. Grief is one of the most complex and difficult emotions you will ever have to deal with yet it happens to everyone in time.
It can leave you feeling helpless and hopeless, not knowing where to turn. But take heart, no matter how dark life may seem there is always hope.
You are not alone and there is something you can do.
Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak knits up the o-er wrought heart and bids it break.
You can clutch the past so tightly to your chest that it leaves your arms too full to embrace the present.
The essence of spiritual guidance or direction can be seen whenever one person helps another to see and respond to spiritual truth.
Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life’s search for love and wisdom.
Spiritual Direction means to ask the big questions, the fundamental questions, the universal ones… Out of asking the right questions and living the qestions will come right actions that present themselves in compelling ways.
