Five days into September and the leaves are falling here in St. Albert. Seems early but then I think fall always seems early somehow. I love this season though, when Mother Earth is preparing for a long rest here in the northern hemisphere. There’s something sweetly peaceful about it. Letting go, letting go, letting go. It reminds me that it’s ok to let go and let the Universe lead me in the direction of my intentions and dreams.
That’s really what it’s about you know, what we are letting go of is what has completed its purpose for us, those things that have been limiting us and keeping us ‘safe’ (at least in the illusion). We need a time of releasing so that the new that wants to emerge in and through us can be formed in our hearts and manifest in its season.
Just as the leaves fall and the trees pull their sap (energy) back into their roots, so do I recall my energies from the world and rest in the roots of Essence. Autumn is a wonderful metaphor for this, but it actually happens over and over within us regardless of the time of year.
When a new idea is gestating in our hearts and imaginations we are shown, if we’re paying attention, the things that need to be released to make space for the new. Sometimes there is grief that accompanies this letting go and that’s ok too. Best to feel the grief as fully as we can and let go into the unknown for a period. Ah yes, this too can be a bit tricky because when we are shifting in consciousness there is a stage of strangeness, not knowing, the void. Relax, it’s ok, it’s actually a necessary passage. Best not to try to go back and hang on to what we ‘know’ at this stage, that can be painful and disappointing.
Be still, and know that I Am Infinite Being and everything is unfolding in Divine Order.
