What is there to say?
Life goes on day after day,
The fruits of effort
Are harvested
Whether or not I’m aware.
Sometimes I just
Need to pay attention,
What I have been waiting for
Is already here.
When peace is in the heart
And love is flowing everywhere
What else could I ask for?
I’m already there.
There’s no need to strive
When wisdom is my guide
The answer is clear
It’s Love, always Love my dear.
But how can that be?
Isn’t life more complex than that?
Only if we make it
I tell you from experience.
When it gets real complicated
We’re likely looking
Outward not inward
And that will keep us
Busy but not likely happy.
So, if you’re caught
In a swirling eddy
And feel you’re
Being dragged under,
Let go, surrender,
You’ll soon find
Your footing
If you surrender
To the Love within you.
