Feeling so blessed today. We had our final class for this spiritual direction training session last night and all my work is in and graded and life is good. Our next session starts in mid-January which seems a long way away but I’m sure the time will evaporate. I know I’ve said it before, but I can’t express enough how right this all is for me at this particular point in my life. I’m home if you know what I mean.
Now I get to continue the learning and deepening with the Sacred Soul Circles. I love that process and am so happy to be sharing it with fellow travelers who want to live divided no more to use Parker Palmer’s words. He often talks about the joining of soul and role and that’s exactly what the soul is calling for as we explore how we can be of service in the world from the soul rather than any role we may have adopted that actually doesn’t satisfy our needs or those of others in any substantial way.
I am also appreciating this season, not only the beautiful weather and snow but the fact that we have decided to expand the Christmas experience this year. My beloved is even now decorating the house and I am so overwhelmed with gratitude. I love nothing more than sitting in the kitchen or living room in the morning with all the lights on the tree lit up as I journal and meditate. That too speaks to my soul in wondrous ways. He’s even playing Christmas songs which he would normally not do this early in the season. I love it!
