It’s been a long time since I’ve made an entry to this blog. There was so much going on with the Spiritual Direction training I was involved in for the past two years and now that it is complete, and I’ve graduated it seems like a good time to start blogging again.

Since last I wrote, I’ve led a couple of book studies on Cynthia Bourgeault’s work which I have to say I have absolutely fallen in love with. Her Wisdom Jesus and Heart of Centering Prayer are the two books we worked with, but I’ve read a few of her other books as well and am in the process of reading (studying) her Mary Magdalene book. Just when I think she can’t blow me away anymore, Cynthia comes up with other pieces of incredible insight and wisdom that amaze me, inspire me, invite me to expand and evolve in consciousness as they touch me at the very depth of me being. I can’t say how grateful I am for having been introduced to her work through the Spiritual Direction training.

I’ve also been working through a little online course of Cynthia’s called The Four Voices of Contemplative Discernment offered through Contemplative Life which my friend Anna Harvey told me about. And again, her teaching has brought me to unexpected places of deeper awareness and has given me an amazing tool for decision making that makes me wonder where I’ve been all these years. It is inclusive, expansive and makes perfect sense even if it is challenging at times. This is no lightweight teaching; I haven’t found any of her work to be light weight to be honest.

If you’re interested in checking this course out, you can go to Four Voices of Contemplative Discernment (thinkific.com). It’s prerecorded but well worth it. If you decide to move ahead with it, I’d love if you would contact me once you get into it so we can talk about our experiences with it.

Namaste,

Yvonne
